Ioana Palade
Architect
Having started her architectural journey in 2011 as a student intern, Ioana joined Poss Architecture + Planning and Interior Design in 2021. She holds an IBDP, a B.A., and an M. Arch (summa cum laude), bringing with her a wealth of experience across all three of the firm’s specialties.
Over the years, Ioana has developed a passion for the mountainside luxury residential niche, studying, working, and recreating in locales such as Whistler, the Sea to Sky Corridor, Vancouver, Okanagan, Banff, and Calgary.
With exposure to this elevated level of design, Ioana developed an urge to explore cutting-edge concepts, pushing her to dive into parametric design and robotic fabrication through her master’s degree. This led to her securing a coveted invitational position on the University of Calgary’s ‘Laboratory for Integrative Design’ team.
Originally from Romania and now a naturalized Canadian, Ioana seizes any opportunity to travel abroad. When she's in North America, you’ll likely find her in the garage with her husband, building their latest automotive project, or off-roading in the mountains, testing their creations in the elements with their Belgian Malinois, Teeka, and ‘adventure’ cat, Kramer.
